  • Choosing the right device role meshtastic.org blog · updated September 2025 The essential read before changing your node’s role. It explains why Router and Repeater settings on the wrong node add congestion and make the mesh worse for everyone nearby, and why Client is the safe choice.
  • Configuration tips meshtastic.org docs The official short list of what to leave alone: role, hop limit and the settings that cause the most trouble on a shared mesh.
  • Meshtastic documentation meshtastic.org/docs The maintained reference for every setting. It sometimes shows the next, pre-release version first, so check which firmware version a page describes.
