Who runs Pulse
Pulse and this site are run by The Clique online, from the TheClique Meshtastic node in Melbourne. We are independent and not part of the Meshtastic project.
TheClique is a fixed node in Melbourne that stays on the air around the clock. Ed runs it, and set up Pulse because too many people were saying hello on the public channel and hearing nothing back.
The site is about the mesh, not about us: what makes Melbourne’s network work better and how each of us can help. If something here is wrong or out of date, please tell us.
Privacy
This website
- No cookies, no trackers, no advertising and no third-party scripts. Fonts are served from this site.
- The web server doesn’t keep a visitor log for this site.
- The self-check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent anywhere.
On the radio
- Messages on the public channel can be read by anyone with a Meshtastic radio in range. Treat it like a public noticeboard.
- TheClique keeps a log of the messages it hears on the channels it is part of: the text, the sending node’s ID and name, the time, how many hops it took and the signal of the last link. Ed uses it to reply, to check Pulse behaves, and to see how the mesh is doing.
- The log holds no positions. It is not sold, shared or published.
- Messages from other people’s nodes are deleted after 30 days. Before that, they’re counted into anonymous daily totals (how many messages and nodes TheClique heard, and how Pulse answered), which hold no message text and no node IDs.
- TheClique doesn’t pass anything it hears to the internet (it isn’t connected to MQTT), and it doesn’t broadcast its own position.
Your choices
- Ask us to delete your node’s messages from TheClique’s log.
- Ask Pulse to stop answering your node.
Use the form below with your node’s name. We’ll do it and let you know.

Messages sent through this form go straight to Ed by notification and email. The website itself doesn’t store them, and Ed deletes them 30 days after replying.
